About Cots
COTS opened its doors in September 2005. We are the only orphanage in the country that provides a private education for all of our children. The children attend the Greenfield National School in Bafal through the 12th grade level, where all classes are taught and all tests are administered in English. Each child also attends one class in traditional Nepalese language and grammar.
Our facility can accommodate 25 children. Currently we have 4 boys and 3 girls (ages 6-9) with 30 children waiting to be enrolled. Our facility is a four story building which includes separate quarters for the boys and girls and younger children, a community kitchen, an outside rooftop play and snack area, a library, study room, computers and a fully equipped office.
The children are taught to take responsibility for themselves and to contribute to their family life at COTS. They have daily study sessions and chores, and are required to complete their homework assignments and maintain at least an 80% overall average.
Our 5-year financial goal is to raise sufficient funds to purchase land in order to build and maintain our own schoolhouse and living facilities.
Our long-term goal is to nurture and educate these children to become the contributing citizens, the leaders and the forward thinkers of Nepal who will bring their country, and its people to stand in an improved, healthier global place, that they are proud to call home.

My Story
CHILDREN OFF THE STREETS
My name is Hari prasad sharma. I am a program manager in Cots-Nepal. I am an orphan children too. I lost my father when I was 6 years old. At that time, I had my mother. My mother had many many problems. During that time I have no enoughchildrenrequired things such as food, clother school, materials etc. School is far from my village almost walking one hour one way. Child life is very difficult, so I realize about it , and I made a photo of nepal orphan supporting program, Mainly girls. Girls' issues are very important all over the word.
